“Aspen” Shar-Pei Art.

“Aspen” is a rescued Shar-Pei who is blind because his original owners did not have his eye condition (cherry eye) treated.  Despite his bad start in life, he now has a wonderful forever home, and even though he can’t see, the love for his owner just emanates from his beautiful eyes.  Colour pencil and acrylic on drafting film.

“Angel in Blue”

“Angel” expresses the epitome of American Staffordshire Terrier love and devotion for their family.  When I first saw the reference photo for this painting, I immediately thought of the trials and troubles that this breed (and Pitbull terriers) face worldwide with Breed Specific Legislation, irresponsible owners,dog fighting and unethical breeders.  With the blue heart shaped background, I hoped to portray the true devoted and loving nature of the AmStaff that have been carefully bred and raised by true devotees of the breed.  16″x16″ oils on gallery wrapped canvas (does not require framing).
